How To Create System Dsn In Windows 7

I tried Microsoft Q&A, they were stumped.

I establish this commodity which describes my problem exactly

ane) Although my entry for the key "(Default) ha sa value (non prepare) I notwithstanding feel this effect

2) I cannot delete the entry (yes even as administrator)

3) using method 2 to delete it via run dialogue does non work either. I mean, there's no error, simply it doesn't assist.

I can use odjbjt32 to create one for .mdb simply that'due south no good, I absolutely need accdb.

With that said, if I create DSN for mdb they are located here in here

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ODBC\ODBC.INI

and the list of all dsn are here

If I create a dsn per my original post using the ACE driver, the only instance I can find of my dsn in registry is in a very different location.

At this signal I'thousand thinking that I'grand going to have to fresh install an old build of windows, like 1809 or something because I don't know when this broke just I know for sure information technology used to work no problems.

I created a virtual machine with windows ten build 1809 and I feel the same problem, which kind of leads me to believe information technology may take something to do with newer versions of Microsoft function, since I believe the ace driver is updated on every release.

That said. I can create the DSN at the user tab, just not the system tab. And since my aircraft software is just used on one user, that'south good enough.
